Later, visit Lake Paranoá to view the exterior of Palácio da Alvorada, which is the official residence of the President of Brazil.

The city has a tropical savanna climate characterized by hot summers and cool winters. You should visit during the dry season from May to September for the best sightseeing. Avoid the heavy rains that occur from November to March. Book popular attractions in advance, especially if you travel during peak season.
